Josephson junction is one kind of typical weak link superconductors, and has high non-linear characteristics, such as the nonlinear I-V relationship, chaotic property and so on. Josephson junction has wide application values, and has been used in many fields, such as military, medicine, communication technology, as well as computer science. Moreover it has exploited a new superconductivity application area-Superconductive quantum electronics. This treatise firstly introduces chaotic basic knowledge, theory methods of chaos control, Josephson junction knowledge and its applications. Then chaos characteristics of resistive-capacitive-shunted Josephson (RCSJ) junction are mainly investigated numerically. The bifurcation diagram,attractor and LE are presented; the route of entering chaos is analyzed; the parameter ranges for different dynamical state are found. The chaotic state is controlled entering to stable periodic state, and the control result is analyzed.
