The research of wave guide information writing-in photorefractive crystal has practical to applications.In this dissertation,the storage characteristics of photorefractive crystal LiNbO3:Fe are studied theoratically and experimentally.At first,photorefractive material and photorefractive material effects are briefly introduced.The mechanics of wave guide in LiNbO3:Fe crystal is analyzed.The changing of refractive of the crystal is extracted from single-core model of photo-refractive crystal and photo-volt migration principal of current carrier.Secondly,a set of experiments are taken about reconstructing wave guide characteristics of high doping LiNbO3:Fe crystal through changing some experiment parameters such as writing-in time,polarization of irradiating light and reading laser.At last,the transverse refractive ratio and period of slab waveguide is measured by Mach-Zehnder Interferometer.It is approved that LiNbO3:Fe crystal has the feature of low power write-in,long storage time and high sensitivity.It is feasible that irradiation method is convenient to slab waveguide storage in LiNbO3:Fe crystal.
