Quantum information theory,a new discipline that combines quantum mechanics and information science together,is now on the line of hot investigation. It is the quantum coherence which lies at the heart of quantum information that makes possible the manipulation of quantum information coding,storing and transfer of quantum information.Nowadays,the quantum information processing and quantum communication is theoretically under intense investigation.We also make some studies in these field,such as the quantum entanglement,the generation of cluster states,the effect of the unwanted phase fluctuation in cluster-state QIP.We propose a scheme to generate cluster state:it is the application of electron polarization beam splitter. In addition,we also study the quantum information processing of two special quantum gates(single-qubit rotation gate,two qubits CN gate) under the phase fluctuation environments.The paper consists of five chapters:In the first chapter,we introduce the history of the development of quantum information,and describe several important physical concepts of quantum information.In the second chapter,we introduce the definition of cluster state and its basic properties.Our research works,including the preparation of cluster states and its applications,the influence of phase fluctuation on one-way quantum computation,are placed in chapters three and four.Chapter five is a brief summary of this thesis,a brief prospect is also presented.
