Compared with X-ray film photography system,the Computed Radiography(CR) has advantages of high sensitivity,wide dynamic range,direct digitization of the image, and a reused imaging plate(IP).Therefore,it is widely used in medical diagnosis,and has been used in the oil,natural gas,electricity engineering and aviation in recent years. The CR system is comprised of the readout device,the processor and the eraser,of which,the readout device is the core part.Thus the improvement of the readout device will have impact on the development of the whole CR system.In this research field how to improve collection efficiency and scanning speed is always the focus points.In this paper,first,the development history of the CR system,principle of the imaging plate and the readout device were introduced.Then experimental system was set up separately to collect fluorescence,on the basis of the experiments,the best parameters of the readout device were acquired.Finally,a new readout method was proposed.It has advantages of simple,compact structure,and low cost.The main contribution of this paper is to find the beast parameters of the readout system through several experiments.Furthermore a readout device of CR system which adopts a new optical system to excite and collect fluorescence with our intellectual property is designed.
