Generalized Linear Models And Its Application

Generalized linear model was a class of widely used statistical model. It was the natural extention of the classical linear model and could be applied to continuous data and discrete data. This was useful and especially there was significance in the statistical analysis of medical, biological, insurance, economic and social data. As the GLM contained many useful model as well as its many good natures, its application in the real problems was increasing and the GLM became an effective way to solve the practical problems. On the one hand, based on the generalized linear model, this article has considered three factors which are the county, age and gender, then made models and analysis to Xinjiang and five main types of disease to testify the feasibility of the model. So they could provide theoretical methods and references to the premium pricing and adjustments of life insurance products together with the reference and research framework in assessing the health state of the population in Xinjiang.
