The present dissertation deals with the systematics of Diopsidae from China.The research history of Diopsidae at home and abroad is briefly introduced. The general morphology of Diopsidae is outlined. The detailed infromation on the biology of Diopsidae is provided. The species from the Oriental Region, mostly from the South China Region.During the period of the my graduate study, I described 28 species in 7 genera from China, including 12 new species and 4 new record species. 12 new species: Cyrtodiopsis pseudoconcava sp. nov., Cyrtodiopsis yunnanensis sp. nov., Cyrtodiopsis guangxiensis sp. nov., Teleopsis yangi sp. nov., Teleopsis pseudoyunnana sp. nov., Teleopsis guangxiensis sp. nov., Teleopsis zhangae sp. nov., Teleopsis pseudotruncata sp. nov., Teleopsis hainanensis sp. nov., Teleopsis wuzhishanensis sp. nov., Teleopsis fujianensis sp. nov., Pseudodiopsis hainanensis sp. nov. and 4 new record species: Cyrtodiopsis dalmanni (Wiedemann), 1830, Cyrtodiopsis quinqueguttata (Walker), 1857, Teleopsis sexguttata, Brunetti, 1928 and Sphyracephala brevicornis Say, 1817. In addition 12 known species from are redescribed and illustrated. Keys to the Chinese genera and species of each genus are provided.The types of new species are deposited in the Entomological Museum of China Agricultural University, Beijing.
