Research And Application Of Web GIS In The Small Town

Geographic Information System (GIS) is used to input, store, query, analysis and display of data in computer systems. With the rise of Internet technology, resulting in WebGIS, which is not only a visual image, with the aid of diagrams features, but also through the network and services, which can get GIS data sharing and remote access, so which is a satisfactory way ,through which GIS services can achieve. This paper studied the small town planning and management framework of structure and technology for WebGIS system.This Paper has analysis the characteristics of WebGIS, Including classification, structure model, architecture, technology, as well as the geospatial libraries evolution of storage, combined with the existing WebGIS products, elaborating WebGIS application and development trends. At the same time, this paper has analysis the advantages and limitations of the WebGIS based on the vector data structure, later comparison the advantages and disadvantages of the WebGIS technology including Plug-in,ActiveX controls and procedures Applet and so on. So I have decided adopt the Applet as the WebGIS solutions, and research the WebGIS realization of mechanism, and analysis the small town planning and management operation.This paper has used object-oriented analysis, based on the. Net platform. In the application server layer, I have adopted the GeoBeans as the GIS platform on the network, in the database server layer; I have used the combination of the spatial data files and relational database, which could manage the data on land. So, the system realized the basic management functions of HuaMing town.
