Rational use of land resource and make them produce the best possible economic and social benefits have become the core of land management departments. In recent years, with the rapid development of economic and urban construction, the contradictions between people and land are becoming increasingly acute. On the other hand, unreasonable land utilization and frequently cadastral information changes bring difficult to land management. As a result, establishment of well-functioning cadastre cadastral management system is the development direction of management. Cadastral data is the core content of land management, therefore, the database design become the focus of cadastral management information system. This paper analyzes the present situation of domestic and international land management information systems and cadastral database models, and put forward some problems in application. In addition, this paper in light of the actual needs of cadastral management and design a new database model namely object-events model. The design idea of the model is that, cadastral data is treated as object, as cadastral operation event, through the establishment of the target relationship between the object and event and achieve cadastral operation and data update in synchronism. According the model theory, this paper detailed the methodology for cadastral database design. In the end, this paper deeply discussed the design of cadastral database combining Chengdu cadastral management information system. Preliminary results demonstrated the feasibility of this method.
