Through systematical research and exploration in the paper, For the first time we carried out pre-stack inversion research to predict volcanic reservoirs about 1410km2 in Xudong and Xunan region, formed a set of standardized volcanic inversion workflow, and the results were better. In a true sense, it is the first time to apply the pre-stack inversion technique to predicting the deep-seated volcanic reservoir in Daqing oil field.Because of the complex lithology, the poor reservoir property, multi-stages of eruption, lithofacies and lithology changing rapidly in space, it is difficult to predict the volcanic reservoir. By the technological research, we achieved the obvious results. First, the study on the complex structure imaging: It is important for the volcanic reservoir prediction to improve the imaging precision of the deep complex structure. To obtain pre-stack gathers with the high quality, we applied the Pre-stack Depth Migration technique (PSDM) in Xudong area (about 860 Km2). It has been proved that PSDM can greatly improve the imaging quality of deep-seated volcanic rocks based on the accurate velocity model, which provided a strong security for the subsequent seismic inversion. Second, the study on the pre-stack inversion: we carried out the pre-stack inversion on the deep-seated volcanic rocks in Xujiaweizi Fault Depression. We fully applied the abundant amplitude and frequency information from seismic gathers with the different degrees to invert the P wave and S wave impedance, and the significant parameters such as the ratio of P wave and S wave velocity and Poisson's ratio, improve the prediction precision and preserve the advanced technology for the volcanic reservoirs.
