By use of geological dates such as seismic, well logging, produce testing etc, based on the characteristics of tectonic development in the south of Daqing Placanticline, summed up fault types, activity periods and the distribution of faults, analyzed the development of fault characteristics. The results show that the southern Daqing Placanticline can be divided into 6 sets of fault systems, H oil layer main have inverted phase faults, formed fault depression period and acted in depression and tectonic inversion period faults, formed depression period and acted tectonic inversion period faults.The lateral seal and vertical seal mechanism of fault and effecting factor are analyzed, the result shows that the evaluation method of fault lateral seal is Allan that is the base, using shale content calculation result to forecast fault rock type, the evaluation method of fault vertical seal is to calculate fault plane normal pressure and analyze fracture seal. The result shows that dissect lateral seal of typical fault traps of H oil layer, NO.5 and NO.6 fault of controlling the west of Putaohua structure NO.5 trap is lateral seal, but the traps than in the past to reduce the effective area; NO.4 fault of controlling the east of Putaohua structure NO.1 trap is lateral seal and trap is effective fault trap, but we can see the Knipe diagram and the distribution of fault, when the throw is less than 25 meters from a number of small individual layer when there is great risk; NO.28 and NO.29 fault of controlling the Putaohua structure NO.37 trap, NO.28 fault is the whole seal, while NO.29 fault is seal a little bad in the H25 and H12, anticline divided by fault formed two traps, Putaohua structure 37-1 trap is effective, but Putaohua structure 37-2 trap is risk in the H25 and H12. In addition to NO.24 and NO.25 faults are poor vertical seal, other faults are vertical seal between better and best. The distribution of oil-gas reservoir is obviously controlled by fault, fault act in early time that provide the condition of oil-gas migration and accumulation, formation multiple types oil-gas reservoirs, fault act in late time that confined oil-gas reservoirs'preservation and destruction.
