Periodic movement is very universal in nature. The investigation of the existence and stability ofperiodic solution of a functional differential equation is of great meaning. This dissertation, consistingof three chapters, intends to describe the existence of periodic solutions of a kind of neutral functionaldifferential equation and the stability of periodic solutions of several kinds of functional differentialequations.Chapter 1 is a brief introduction to the historical background and the significance of this re-search.Chapter 2 is devoted to study the existence and stability of a neutral functional differentialequationwhich comes from the transmission line theory. We give an effective method to determine whetherthere is a stable periodic oscillation along transmission lines.Chapter 3 is a study of the stability of the zero solution of three kinds of functional differentialequationsWe generalize and improve previous results of 23?stability problem.
