There is a trend from poststack to prestack in seismic data processing . However , a number of noises in prestack seismic data have bad effects on prestack processing . The linear noise plays an important role in these effects . So , it is important to study the linear noise's characteristic and to discuss the corresponding denoising methods in seismic data processing .There are some faults in popular denoising methods . Fourier transform always loses usable information in its denoising results . While other denoising methods always have complex algorithms and complex requirements to seismic data , such as wavelet transform and mean-weighted.I discuss the common denoising methods in this paper . To introduce new methods , I use seislet transform to remove linear noise in prestack seismic data . Seislet transform is a new method , which was named by Sergey Fomel , who introduce it by linked the method of plane-wave destruction and wavelet lifting scheme .I introduce the method removing prestack linear noise by seislet transform . And I discuss the requirements of this method in detail . I also introduce the method to process seislet coarse approximation by Median Filter in this paper . At the end of this paper , I show the good results from models testing and seismic data processing , which prove that the application of seislet transform in removing prestack linear noise is remarkable.
