This thesis selects He8 section and Shan1 section as studied object ,which sit in the north of Sulige gas field in Ordos Basin.Using the theory of sedimentology, petroleum geology and geophysics, combined with regional geological data, cores, flakes and logging data,we try to study the sedimentary micro-facies of He8 section and shan1 section. The following results and understanding are got:1.The rock types of He8 section in study area are quartz sandstone and lithic quartz sandstone. The quantity of lithic quartz sandstone is less than that of quartz sand stone; The main rock type of Shan1 section is lithic quartz sandstone, followed by the lithic sandstone, and the quartz sandstone content is the lest.2.He8 section and Shan1 section in study area developed alluvial plain sedimentary system, and Shan1 section is meandering river sedimentary.According to the tipical profile structure, it can be divisioned into fluvial subfacies, embankment subfacies and flood subfacies. And they can be further divisioned into some micro-facies,such as streambed retention deposition, side flat, natural levee, flood plain, flood lake deposit and so on; He8 section is braided river deposition. According to the profile structure features, it can be divisioned into fluvial subfacies and flooding subfacies, and its micro-facies contain streambed retention deposition, channel bar and flooding plain.3.The provenance analysis studies of He8 section and Shan1 section show that: in these deposition period, the terrigenous clastic sediments of the study area mainly came from the north and north-east direction, and the provenance area has close relation with the Alashan - Yinshan ancient land in north side of the study area.4.During the deposition period of Shan1 section tectonic activity was relatively calm, so the sedimentary face mainly is meandering river, which the following erosion corrosion is weaker than the side effection; And He8 section deposited during structure uplift, so braided river which vertical erosion is greater than the lateral erosion is its main sdimentary face. Although the top part of He8 section still develops braided river face, flooding deposition shows a little bit advantages in the late period of He8, because of the decrease in the supply of provenance from north and north-east of study area.
