Jurassic coal in the north-west is rich in coal resources, coal quality, while the low level of development and research, in addition to the existing theory of coal geology in North China are research in Carboniferous - Permian coal, in this context, the strengthening of Northwest study Jurassic coal rich coal geology for the theory and the promotion of the north-west of the development and utilization of coal resources have the potential theoretical significance and practical value. Shizuishan coalfields is a double periods coalfield with the representation of the study which includes the Jurassic coalfield and Carboniferous coalfield.In this paper as the target of it, coal petrology and trace element characteristics are compared and studied ,and preliminary study of geology gensis.In this paper, the analysis and research show that: Jurassic coal measures of Rujigou is lake and river sediment that are thought as water hydrothermal metamorphism, Carboniferous coal measures of Shitanjing belong to sea-land interbedding sediment, are the type of deep metamorphic process. Rujigou coal is anthracite coal, more difficult to distinguish between bedding; It can not identify exinite, also difficult to distinguish vitrinite and inertinite; coking coal of Shitanjing is soft, having clear bedding; difficult to identify exinite, vitrinite and inertinite has been able to distinguish. Anthracite of Rujigou is low-ash, ultra-low sulfur, high calorific value, high coal quality; coking coal of Shitanjing is in high-ash, low sulfur, higher calorific value.Analysis of the low-temperature ashing of coal samples by XRD and SEM-EDAX showed that the samples of Rujigou coal mainly contain kaolinite, illite, little quartz, which is little or no pyrite, while the Samples of Shitanjing Samples dominant on kaolinite, pyrite with less. Analysis of trace elements of the coal in Rujigou by useing INAA shows that Se, Mo are high concentrations, Se is enriched and other Zr, Mo, Sb, Hf , W, Th, U are high concentrations in coal of Shitanjing; the sea-land interbedding sediment of Shitanjing are the reasons that the content of Se and S is high, sea-land interbedding sediment supply of terrigenous clastic at the same time cause many elements such as the high conten of Zr. Both the distribution patterns of REE in Rujigou and Shitanjing and the parameters ofδEu,δCe were no significant difference, but significant differences in content of REE that the more terrigenous clastic supplying caused of highΣREE in Shitanjing.At the basis of comparative study of the above, the reasons of the formation of these significant differences in the geological gensis the is preliminary analysed: Depositional environment of the lake is a important reason which is bring on high quality of Jurassic coal, and then anthracite of Rujigou is considered as a result of hydrothermal metamorphism.
