With the rapid development of the national economy, Digital Geographical Map drawing have put forward higher requirement for the intelligence, speed, efficiency and excellecent service of computer graphics editing software. Of the existing computer graphics editing software, some can no longer satisfy the demand for high-speed development, while Digital Geographical Map is widely used in projects, and the computer hardware teconology is progressing and maturing, so it is inevitable to develop Digital Geographical Map editing software.This article first introduces the development ststus of Digital Geographical Map and editing software, and then introduces the structure, development language and related teconology of secondary development platform, next according to the national standard, divide the feature coding into three categories, that is point, line, surface, and elaborate the design and application methods of point symbol library, linear symbol library and area symbol library, and next analyzes the drawing metohods of TIN, the algorithm of contour line, and solute some frequent problems, at last give some suggestions to similar projects by research the application effect of actual cases.This article use AutoCAD 2004 which is widely applied at present as a development platform, through the AutoCAD ActiveX Automation interface technology, and use the Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications as language development, in order to realize thr basic editing function of digital softwares.
