The phenomenon of hollow beam emerged by conical refraction from biaxial crystal ,have been noticed in the early nineteenth century. Recently, with the progress of laser technology and the use of advanced technique of artificial compound crystal ,conical refraction has arouse the interest in mode convergence and deformation of laser beam .But there is less research on the dynamic property of the light loop of conical refraction.According to the ellipsoid of refractive index of biaxial crystal ,this paper discussed the propagation of energy in crystal .Researched on the diffraction properties of conical referaction by computer simulation ,and analyzed the relationship bertween energy and propagation distance and radius of the hollow beam. After that, analyzed the structure and polarization property of light ring by ray tracing , and had get the relationship between polarization plane direction of linearly polarized light and hollow beam energy distribution.Based on the properties of diffraction and polarization ,the way of controlling the beam spot location on the axis and the energy distribution of the ring are proposed. And in the conical refraction experiments, the methord have been confirmed.
