| 3D GIS is the new trend of GIS development.3D GIS can express the objective world more factually and intuitively, can give people the true feelings. it doesn't need abstract the spatial entity as symbol, but exhibit the spatial entity by using spatial technology, and provide users a tool by which user can interact with three-dimensional world and easily obtain more spatial information.Thesis summarizes the existence and deficiencies of the existing GIS Systems, relying on the rich experience and the Pipe Line Project, We established the 3D Pipe Line System by using some new methods. In modeling, we established the 3D model by SketchUp-a 3D modeling software and export the model to ArcGIS multipatch data format in 3D scene. In dealing with some of the two-dimensional data that lacking of elevation information, system adopted a more creative method to calculate these elevation accurately; in creating 3D pipe line, we study out the method how to create 3D pipe line dynamically.This Paper divided into six chapters. The first chapter is introduction. This chapter introduced the purpose of choosing this subject, the 3D GIS from GIS definition, characteristics, and function, and summarized the research direction and the development of the area of 3D GIS, present the research aim and the content of this paper.The second chapter introduces the data format of ArcGIS multipath and present some different manifestations. At the same time, this chapter introduces the detailed information on modeling the 3D model in the real pipe line area and how to make three models and the output of data format for ArcGIS multipatch.The third chapter introduces some scenario that using the data format of ArcGIS multipatch to create three dimensions of pipelines dynamically from two-dimensional pipeline.The fourth chapter describes the implementation of 3D module and introduce the technology that implementation 3D pipeline system need.The innovative points of this paper is:(1) Use SkecthUp 3D modeling software and GIS specialized software to create 3D GIS systems and made many constructive approach to create 3D models;(2) To reduce the workload we calculate out elevation information which we need when modeling 3D models;(3) Implementation the generation of 3D pipeline data dynamically, can generate 3D pipeline data directly from two-dimensional, reflect the real-time update situation of the pipeline. |
