Since ancient times,The construction of large-scale Hydraulic Engineering will seriously affect the river environment. When Three Gorges Project completed, there will form a about 30m water-level-Fluctuating zone,which between Normal Water Level in the 175m and Flood Control Water Level in the 145m.On account of Fluctuating zone ecosystem exists in Cross-regional between Terrestrial ecosystem and Aquatic ecosystem, it subjects to two types of ecosystem in the same time. Therefore, Fluctuating zone ecosystem becomes a complex and fragile ecosystem which is extremely special.Another feature is that Fluctuating zone ecosystem is also a Open-ecosystems, the stability of its ecosystem and dynamic equilibrium will not only affect its function, what is more important is that it will affect adjacent ecosystem and prompt or impede achieve its function.To this point,the stability of its ecosystem and the security of landscape is essential for the whole Reservoir ecosystem.In this paper, landscape ecology as a guideFirstly, through defining the notion and its meaning accurately, in-depth knowledge the landscape features of Fluctuating zone. Selecting Kaixian fluctuating zone as the study sample,Classifying landscape types according to Chongqing Land use/cover principles and the the actual situation of Kaixian water-level-fluctuating zone,Through the usingof remote sensing and GIS techniques extract landscape informations.On the basis of that, the background characteristics of Kaixian water-level-Fluctuating zone was described by consideration of landscape index.Secondly, under the operating scheduling program in Three Gorges Project, guided by law of biological succession, simulated the evolution of the trend through comparative research from before the flood of landscape pattern, after the second installment water impoundment of landscape pattern tolater 2010 of landscape pattern in Kaixian fluctuating zone.Thirdly,evaluate the planning of the fluctuating zone landscape which has been a general acceptance.On the basis of this,giving some reasonable advices to optimize landscape pattern of fluctuating zone.To sum up, provide scientific references for rational land use of water-level-fluctuating zone,health assessment and ecological restoration of the whole fluctuating zone ecosystem.
