With continuous development of economy and society, the public environmental problem that brought by ground vibration (including vibrating machines, equipments, traffic and construction activities, etc) are increasingly augmenting. In addition, these vibrations bring much trouble to precision instruments, buildings and the life environment of human beings. The isolation measure and analyzing method of this ground vibration is an important problem in the field of isolation engineering. This thesis discusses the transmission law of the vibration wave in soil medium and the principle of continuous isolation barriers, verifying the attenuation rules of the vibration wave along the ground and the accuracy of analysis by FE (finite element) methods. This thesis also deals with the theory of setting continuous barriers in soil to decrease the effect of vibration, and that has been testified by finite element analysis.Foamy plastic is found to be good isolation vibration material by analyzing wave impedance ratio, and the construct craft of using this material to isolate vibration is also proposed. In the finite element analysis of continuous barriers, various calculating models under different design condition (including width, width, length of barrier and different barrier material, etc) are presented, and directive conclusions that can be used to engineering design is obtained by contrastively analyzing of these calculation models.
