The karst process makes an active participation into the global carbon cycle, and the karst dynamic system is very sensitive to environmental factors such as rainfall, temperature, vegetation, PCO2 in the air, the state of water flow, its depth, temperature, disturbance, and openness of the system. The time scale of the sensitive reaction does not reflect only the seasonal variation, but aslo diurnal variation, hourly fluctuation, and even fluctuation by minute. This feature of the karst dynamic system puts forth special requirement to its research methods. At the same time, due to the complexity of the geochemical behaviors under the karst process, it is necessary to conduct dynamic monitoring for days to the karst dynamic system, especially the monitoring of the continuous variation under different temperature conditions, which relies on the continuous automatic monitoring of the high-accuracy and high-resolution instruments, so that the operating rules of the karst dynamic system can be fully understood. The previous studies mainly focus on topics such as water exploration, ecology, water quality and Water Resources, and they seldom give attention to the various problems in the process of continuous monitoring of ground water.This research applies the knowledge of the earth system science and that of the karst dynamic system as well as the theories and methods of physics and chemistry to the case study of the automated live data monitoring station in the field in the QingMuguan karst valley of chongqing and puts forward the principles and matters needing attention for the construction of automated monitoring station in the karst areas. It analyzes the credibility of automatedly-recorded data in different seasons and under different rainfall conditions, generalizesthe common problems and their solutions in the processes of installation and operation of automatic meteorological observation station, water level gauge, water analysis apparatus,etc.,and studies the various factors that influence the monitoring data from the instruments.QMG sub-stream system is in bosom of QingMuguan anticline of JinYun mountain. As an enclosed groundwater system, it is a typical study type in Chongqing hydro-geological study. This thesis starts from the purposes of the construction of the karst monitoring station and the analysis of the site selection, and highlights the requirement of instrument monitoring precision from four aspects:1)the study of the mutual relationship within the geohydrologic system; 2) the geohydrologic process study of the sudden rise and fall of rainfall; 3) the study of the heterogeneity of time and space of rainfall; 4) the study of the migration of elements in the groundwater.Besides, it provides a brief introduction to the monitoring index and precision of all types of instruments and discusses in detail the influencing factors and common problems of the data. It especially elaborates on the credibility of geohydrologic data of debouchure and karst depression, and projects the calculation method of the flow volume of storage capacity in the karst depressions.
