In this paper, we investigated the dose-effect relationship between microwave pulse parameters (pulse number, duration and field intensity) and cell proliferation (human liver cell L-02,mice liver cell IAR-20,human skin fibroblast cell HSF and mice skin fibroblast cell L929) by MTT assay.Firstly, we focus on the problems which many literatures ignored:qualified the relationship of cell proliferation and microwave pulse parameters (pulse number, duration and field intensity) at a systematical level. Then, we investigated how the proliferation rate will vary when different cell lines (human and mice cell from the different tissue:liver or skin) exposed to the same pulse parameters to compare the cell lines'sensitivity of microwave exposure.The results showed that when cell lines exposed to the same pulse parameters, the change of cell (the cell lines from the same tissue) proliferation rate is similar; but the change of cell (the cell lines from the different tissue) proliferation rate is significantly different:the liver cell lines are more sensitive to the skin cell lines.The results also showed that the decrease of cell proliferation rate is proportional to the field intensity and duration; there are no cumulative effect existed in microwave pulse number exposure:a few numbers of pulse can maximize the decrease of cell proliferation rate, and with the increase of pulse number, the decrease of cell proliferation rate does not increase more.And the longer the duration is, the fewer pulse number can reach the maximum decrease of the cell proliferation rate.We have obtained the dose-effect relationship between microwave pulse parameters and cell proliferation rate at cell level.These results would promote to the bio-effect dose research and provides a foundation for the safe threshold value for microwave pulse.
