The relationship between vegetation cover and the evolution of environment is currently an important part of research on global change.Vegetion play a part of important role, without reference to hydrologic cycle and biology-chemistry cycle. Therefore change of vegetation cover has an important function to the change of natural ecoenvironment, change of vegetation cover gripped accurately has an vitally important to improve the actuality of natural ecoenvironment.This paper, based on NDVI, analysis the changes of vegetation cover and spatial framework, by using Landset TM/ETM+ in 1988,1993,2001 and 2007, suing ArcGIS and FRAGSTATS3.3, tris to distinguish the climate facter and terrain facter in NDVI process. To reveal the characteristics of vegetation change in Jinyun Mountain region, which for the vegetation in the area of environmental protection, of great significance.Main research results in this thesis include as following:(1)Spatial and temporal distribution of NDVI:from the spatial distribution, NDVI showed a gradually increasing trend along northwest-southeast direction;From the spatial distribution of the nanual change situation. Changes mainly played in the northeast region and central region.(2)Changes in vegetation coverage area:Vegetation coverage appear an fluctuately increasing trend from 1988 to 2007 in Jinyun mountain, very low(f≤30), low(30
