Cascading Failures On Complex Networks Based On CML

In many realistic networks, one or several nodes shock(maybe random ,maybe attacked intentionally) can trigger large cascades through coupled relation between nodes. In this article, I investigated the cascading failure model based on coupled map lattices. Based on this model, I investigated nonlinear dynamics character of nodes in different networks, the mechanism of build-up and delivery of the complex dynamics, and the process of cascade failures. By simulating two methods that can trigger the cascading failures, one is failures caused by random breakdown, the other is intentional attacks, I derivate the range of critical value of failure that the network can bear.
