As a special geological disasters, loess cave on the human living environment, engineering activities against huge.It is not only a direct result of serious soil erosion, and can exacerbate or even induce cracks, mud flows, landslides and other disasters and development, the most direct result of surface erosion is a serious soil erosion cave and loess cave on the road, rail,oil and gas transportation pipelines, houses and other industrial and civil buildings, and many of the evil. Therefore, the potential erosion of the loess cave physical mechanism of experimental research, is of great theoretical and practical significance.This article first at home and abroad and easily confused about the erosion and related concepts are necessary to clarify, through analysis sub-erosion, piping, seepage compression, flowing soil, soil-burst,flowing sand,underground scour, tunnel erosion, etc. Various cave erosion and function of the related concept connotation and denotation, establish a strict definition of erosion and role of clear concept model. On the basis of the piping in secret, osmotic pressure, flow, etc, the typical role as the main object erosion, through the theoretical derivation, the role of various conditions and factors stimulate preliminary study was carried out on the creep effect, the characteristics of the comprehensive summary, through the physical simulation and numerical simulation, and reveals the formation of loess, discusses the characteristics of morphology and influencing factors.In loess erosion rate in the related experimental research, loess erosion process is reduced rate, rapid erosion stage stage, slow uniform erosion stage and four characteristics of gravity erosion stage; quantitative reveals the initial dry density, the initial factors such as loess and water erosion rate; reveals the initial water erosion of loess profile feature, found in loess eroded rapidly during the erosion of the hole to plunge the fact that way, the first clear the hole bottom side of cavitation characteristics and conditions, and pointed out the hole small eroded erosion rate, but in the long run, is of great significance, put forward the concept of loess eroded datum, reveals the loess eroded "adaptive stabilised features"and "relative equilibrium" and its influencing factors, points out that the adaptive stabilised cave characteristics is timely and temporary, erosion is long and absolute, and is temporary and relative.
