Spectrum fitting is the base of the application of Mossbauer spectroscopy. This thesis mainly introduced the development of the spectrum fitting program of BH1224E Mossbauer spectrometer which developed by Beijing Nuclear Instrument Factory. After analysis and comparison, the Gauss-Newton least square method which was perfect for the 57Fe Mossbauer spectral fitting was chosen as the fitting algorithm. On the basic of exhaustive study and derivation of the basic ideas, algorithms and calculation formula of the Gauss-Newton least squares method, the iterative calculation program based on Gauss-Newton least square method was complied using VC + + language. The best fitting parameter values were obtained. These parameters are accord very well with the calculation result of MATLAB. At the same time, These parameters are almost full compliance with the known physical characteristics of 57Fe Mossbauer spectrum. A conclusion can be drew that the fitting program an results are accurate and reliable. From the point of Mossbauer spectroscopy application and analysis, we can use these best fitting parameters as a reference parameters to carry on other subsequent research and analysis. From the point of development of BH1224E Mossbauer spectrometer control software, the key issue is solved that obtaining accurate fitting spectral line and absorption peak parameters. Our fitting program is a very important part of the spectrometer software.
