Along with urgently awaits to be solved the complication degree of geological question and to solve the question fine degree further enhancement, the malpractice and the question that the multifold reflected wave exploration technical has exposed are getting more and more. Although it can enhance the signal-to-noise ratio of seismic data well, in the complex structure situation, particularly the fault zone of mountain front, the crushed zone of basin edge, exploration question of magmatic intrusion as well as the survey question of heterogeneity, prominent region in near surface, it is difficulty to obtain the precise imaging result. the reason is that the theory of the tradition reflected exploration technical has defined it is impossible to overstep the ability that withdraws geological feature accurately and geological information completely. Moreover, the traditional methods only apply the sloe type seismic wave field (for example reflected wave, surface wave, refracted wave and so on) to carry on imaging, the imaging effect and the ability of geology information extracting is limited certainly, particularly the effect is worse in geological situation complex region. Thus require a more precise scale theoretical discussion, it was mentioned scattering theory demands a realistic level of industrial.Any seismic waves change in which caused by heterogeneity in earth all can be called seismic wave scattering, which include every type of wave. In other words, each type of wave is a special form wave under different constraints. Now the seismic exploration technique on scattered wave is being researched, and there are many works to do before it is applied to production. Main research contents in the article:1) Introduced the scattering theory and the latest developments, summarize systematically studies scattering environment in recent years, main results and hot topics;2) Two ways by mathematical and numerical to analyze the morphological changes of the scattering, get the different relationship in eath scattering patterns;3) In contrast the current domestic and international major pros and cons of scattered wave numerical methods, based on the most original formulas presents a new numerical method for scattering. In this method, the introduction of several amendments to improve the parameters of the wave field and ultimately prepared the corresponding program, this program can simulate any heterogeneous medium's scattered wave field;4) Using the program process a large number of simple to complex models (points, layers, unconformities, faults, etc.) of the scattering wave simulation, analysis of the similarities and differences of the total wave field and the scattering field;...
