Huangling County locate on the north-central of Shaanxi Province,Yan'an City,where belongs to the Loess Plateau.There are a lots of geological disasters, such as landslides, collapse and mudflows, etc, which has caused a serious threat to the life and property safety of people in these areas, and brought an impact to the eeonomic development of these areas.Presently, the risk assessment of geological hazards has been studied home and abroad,but is immature,not having sophisticated theory and means and still in rching stage.The paper researches relies on the "detail Investigation of the Geological Hazrds on Huangling County,Yanan City" project. The subject took Huangling County as study destination,investigated the geological hazards and collected the relevant information. Doing a preliminary summary of the geological environment, and analysis the developing characteristics of the geological hazards and distribution.For the first time,the study established the county area risk assesment model of geological hazards, which is consisted of risk,velnerability and completed geological hazards risk zonation,combined the city geological hazards developing characteristics,based on studying and using both home and abroad production,research technique. This study obtains the following results:1.hazard assessment:using AHP to establish the geological hazards risk assessment model, using ArcGIS software divided Huangling County into 5684 units, proceed the risk zoning into high-hazardous areas, medium-hazardous areas and low-hazardous areas.2.vulnerability assessment:the use of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to the assessment unit of the township of Huangling County, on the Huangling County's population, economy and land resources made comprehensive vulnerability assessment of geological hazards and zoning into high-vulnerability areas, medium-vulnerability areas and low-vulnerability areas.3.Risk Assessment:Integrated risk assessment and vulnerability assessment, establish the risk assessment model to calculate the the township's risk index of geological hazards, and zoning into high-risk areas,medium-risk areas and low-risk areas.
