Probabilistic Analysis Of The Wining Numbers In Lotto M Out Of N

Lotto is one kind of lotteries, it is one of the most popular lotteries all around the world because of the diversity of its rules and the rationality of its prize setting. In recent years, with the enlargement of its scale and the development of the computer science, lotto is welcomed by many people. The research on the lotto is becoming more and more.Firstly, some knowledge about lottery was introduced in this paper, and the research work about lottery around the world was summarized. Secondly, the knowledge of probability theory, mathematical statistics and combinatorics was introduced. Then, the distribution of the odd numbers in winning numbers, the distribution of the range of winning numbers, the distribution of the sum of winning numbers, the joint distribution of the odd numbers and range were deducted theoretically based on such knowledge. At last, taking the Chinese physical lottery 5 out of 22 for example, the theories were tested and applied by using the data from 858 periods.
