The carbonate reservoir in Tahe oilfield is a typical super-deep complex fracturecavity reservoir. The matrix has no storage-seepage ability basically, in counterpart; the fracture-cavity reservoir has seriously heterogeneity characteristics in spatial distribution and development. The fracture-cavity units with different scale size and category are existed in this reservoir. There is some certain complex connectedness between single wells in a decided unit, but there is no connection between the above-mentioned units. The production dynamic characteristics in 10 years'progressive exploration strongly indicate that the units which disclosures by single well have obviously divergent characteristics and exploration feature. It's difficult to get the preferable effectiveness for traditional pattern. So, it's indispensable to research thoroughly the reservoir characteristics and the water flood mechanism, for search a preferable water flood pattern to enhance the recovery ratio.This paper which include tri-media(cavity-fracture-pore) and equivalent singe mobile media models, for realizing the water flood puff and huff dynamic numerical simulation and prediction. Based on the similarity criteria, the indoor physical experimental method for simulating the gravity replacement in water flood puff and huff process are putted forward to simulating research of oil-water replacement, water coning, and different water controlling mechanism. Based on the equivalent hydrodynamic model, the mobility mechanism, mobility rule, geologic influential factor and injection-production parameter are researched.This paper is established in combination of practice and theory. Single well puff and huff as a newly well flood pattern is established on the research of reservoir geologic characteristics and subsurface mobility rule. As a new extract pattern in carbonate reservoir in Tahe oilfield, the water flood puff and huff heavily enhanced the deliverability of well and recovery factor. At the same time, it can save expense by a wide margin by unitizing the wastewater for reinjection. It's worth to be generalized and applied in the similar oilfield.
