Through shallow seismic prospecting, geology data and the predecessors achievement in the research. The characteristics of the fault activities of Palegene were researched by the fault throw method in middle-north Raoyang sag. The results show that the fault activity appears multiperiodic activity during the Paleogene in the region of interest, and it transfers from the southwest to the northwest. The fault were developed in the west in Ek and Es4 periods, while they were developed in the east Es3-Es2 periods, and the activities were intense in the North in Es1-Ed periods, In Es1-Ed the faults show strike slip features. There are manifold different geometrical shapes in the plane and the section of the faults in middle-north Raoyang sag, which make up manifold faulted blocks being half graben, half horst and graben-horst, and such distribution makes the region of interest be segmented from east to west. The space-time distribution of fault activities takes on inhomogeneity, different directions of faults strike were developed because of different forces in different period. In the structural evolution of cross-section preparation and fault growth index calculated based on the gap. Restore Raoyang sag structural evolution history of north-central region. Analysis of the structural evolution of phase Raoyang sag can be divided into Yanshan extensional detachment stage, Es3-Es2 east-west extension phase, Es3-Es2 NW-trending extensional phase, Es1-Ed stretching north-west phase of Neogene stage of the five stages of sag. On this basis, analysis of structural characteristics of the various stages.Raoyang sag in different periods of evolution, unique deposition, filling the role of the sedimentary system of control and development of sequence stratigraphy to give a positive response. Clearly reflects the coupling relationship between the two. In different evolution periods, Sag faults at all levels within the activity and intensity of the difference resulted in deposition of basin subsidence or lateral transfer center.
