In this paper, an isothermal thermo-gravimetric analysis was employed to investigate CO2 gasification characteristics of microwave treatment petroleum coke at 1050-1200℃, and four kinetics models were used to simulate gasification rates. While gasification of petroleum coke and coal liquefaction residue with CO2 at 900-1050℃was carried out in Thermax 500 pressured thermogravimetric analyzer. At the same time gasification of petroleum coke and coal liquefaction residue with H2O at 850-1150℃was determined by 449 F3 TG-DSC Thermal analyzer.At 1050-1200℃, the gasification rate of microwave treatment petroleum coke increases with the increase of the microwave irradiation time and the irradiation power. While the gasification rate of microwave treatment petroleum coke increases at first and then decreases with the increase of irradiation temperature. The gasification effect of petroleum coke treated by microwave in basic solvent was better than that in neutral solvent at the same gasification conditions. The gasification rate of microwave-treated coke increases with the rise of the coke conversion and then decreases after reaching its maximum. Therefore normal distribution function model and random pore model have a strong advantage in fitting gasification rate of microwave-treated coke, but the fitted results of integrated model and shrinking core model were relatively poor.During the chemical reaction control temperature range, the gasification reactivity of coal liquefaction residue is good. The results indicate coal liquefaction residue or char has obvious stimulative effect on petroleum coke gasification, and the gasification rate of petroleum coke increases with the increase of coal liquefaction residue or char. Although gasification reactivity of residue char decreases, the effect of residue char on petroleum coke gasification is more significant at the same dosage.
