The parameters of heat transfer in fixed bed are basic data of reactor design and computer simulation, it play a vital role in the stability operation of the reactor and catalyst activeness. It is a concern topic in the reaction engineering field. Cross-flow heat transfer in fixed bed Packed with Methanol synthesis catalyst was studied in this experiment. The Cross-flow Heat Transfer of Fixed Bed experiment apparatus was set up, and the influence of conditions on this reaction was researched as well. It had been also studied by means of two-dimensional model for pseudo-homogeneous phase. The Cross-flow Heat Transfer in Fixed Bed Packed with Methanol synthesis catalyst was investigated with the conditions:temperature of heat exchange tube:200℃~260℃, temperature of beds inlet:150℃~200℃and the gas flow:3.0m3~7.0m3.The results of the experiment showed that:Beds temperature distribution trend was little influenced by the beds inlet temperature; The temperature change caused by the change of heat exchange tube was mainly amassed in the area that behind the heat exchange tube; The isothermal area became narrow as the gas flow was raised. The following conclusions are obtained:The isothermal lines in the bed are ovals, which long axis is along the flow direction. The process is in close connection with the gas flowing direction. The direction of heat transfer is the same as fluid flows, while there is little heat transfer in the opposite direction. The relevance of effective thermal conductivity coefficient and wall heat transfer coefficient was obtained based on two-dimensional model for pseudo-homogeneous phase...
