Water-based inorganic zinc silicate coating because of its non-toxic environment, low price and excellent corrosion resistance have a wide range of prospects. This study is carried out to further promote its development, particularly in the marine splash zone of the practical applications.In this paper, mainly study the effects of inorganic zinc silicate coating preparation process (solid-liquid ratio, reaction temperature, the proportion of potassium silicate and silica sol, etc.) on the coating properties. The results showed that: a suitable coating liquid ratio should be 2:1. When 20℃room temperature synthesis of base fluid coating have good performance. With temperature raise, coating cracks easily. The coupling agent with short-chain structure joined is better to improve adhesion. The proportion of potassium silicate and silica coating have greater impact on the corrosion resistance. Ratio of 4:1 is best. 500 mesh ball zinc coating performance is the best, the worst is flake zinc powder. Using optimization of process parameters zinc-rich coating show high hardness, good adhesion, heat water resistence, solvents resistence, salt water resis (30 day no rust-point found).With the electrochemical behavior of zinc silicate coating in 3.5mass% NaCl. The three stages of coating protective pocess was proposed: Initial immersion zinc coating zinc dissolution occurred; the medium-term corrosive medium immersion into the pores of coating; Corrosion products block the pores, shielding the corrosive medium play a good protection of the substrate.Coupling agent modified experiment. Preparation of the zinc coating can be cured at room temperature coating, but poor corrosion resistance of the film. Coupling agent KH560-based liquid coatings cured at 120℃10min, show high hardness and good corrosion resistance. KH560 coupling agent added in JH602, coating can be cured at room temperature, have good corrosion resistance.Silicate coating on the filler can be screened with magnetic iron oxide black as the main object of study. The filler added zinc powder (1:1). The light black coating was better water resistance than the pure iron oxide coating. Electrochemical impedance in salt water system after a period of significantly enhanced corrosion resistance coating, showing characteristics of zinc coating corrosion Arc Spraying carbon steel and three types of stainless steel coating: 3Cr13, 316L and 304 (nitrogen atmosphere) coating. Integrated from the corrosion resistance, electrochemical protection, 304 (nitrogen protection) spray coating or 316L spray coating have shown good matching with inorganic zinc silicate coating.
