Liquid/liquid interface as a simple simulation model, which has got rapidly development in the past few decades. Liquid/liquid interface has broad application prospects such as in the extraction process, electrochemical sensing, phase transfer catalysis, drug delivery and biomimetic membranes . Liquid/liquid interface structure of the major differences is the existence of specific adsorption, and current oscillation of the liquid/liquid interface provides an effective knowledge for our to understanding the liquid/liquid interface structure. Micro-drop method and the micro-tube technology with its unique advantages of the liquid/liquid interface electrochemistry research and development of great significance. There are four chapters in this paper, the content as follows:1. In this section, we summarized the progress of the liquid/liquid interface electrochemistry, introduced the liquid/liquid interface model and research method, and at the same time an overview of the liquid/liquid interface oscillation phenomenon and the applications of ionic liquids in electrochemical fields.2. The current oscillation phenomenon of ferric chloride/ferrous chloride system in water/1,2 - dichloroethane interface was investigated by micro-drop method. The results demonstrate that this oscillation was related to the concentration of ferric chloride, to the scan rate,to the size of water drop, to the type of the organic phase supporting electrolyte and to the organic phase of the supporting electrolyte concentration. In addition, through the UV spectra research the existence of ion-pair on interface.A specific adsorption of ion pair model was used to explain the causes of oscillation. The study is significant for us to understand the structure of the liquid/ liquid interface and to explore liquid/liquid interface oscillation mechanism.3. The current oscillation phenomenon of copper chloridesystem in water/1,2 - dichloroethane interface was investigated by micro-drop method. The results demonstrate that this oscillation was related to the concentration of copper chloride, to the scan rate,to the size of water drop, to the type of the organic phase supporting electrolyte and to the organic phase of the supporting electrolyte concentration.4. Electrochemical behaviors of ferrocene (Fc) in three imidazole ionic liquids was investigated with micro- electrode combination . The diffusion coefficients of Fc in three imidazole ionic liquids and the viscosity of these ionic liquids were estimated. The results of experimental indicate that ferrocene showed a good reversibility in these ionic liquids. The diffusion coefficient of Fc that was measured in this paper is larger than that of conventional electrodes . It provided a new method to low concentration of supporting electrolyte or no supporting electrolyte solution system, and provided effective help to liquid/liquid interface of the charge transfer process of selecting suitable viscosity of ionic liquids .
