Large amount of muncipal sewage and sludge is genrated with China's socio-economic development and urbanization. Sludge demands high treatment cost and may cause second pollution and novel methods to reduce the excess sludge is needed. The ultrasonic lysis-cryptic growth sludge reduction technology can be hidden to achieve 50~80% of sludge reduction, but little or zero emissions of sludge discharge case,Inorganic( heavy metals) will remain in the reactor,it may cause a decline in water quality, and even make lead poisoning organisms reactor failure, make. However, the process of lysis of inorganic content is still blank, therefore, this thesis for ultrasonic lysis-hidden in the growth of sludge reduction process within the inorganic content of sludge as a study object. This thesis adopt ultrasonic cell lysis conditions like ultrasound energy density: 0~2.0W/ml, ultrasound time: 0~30min. First, the changes of the inert inorganics in sludge and the release effect of heavy metals and its affecting factors were studied under different ultrasonic time and ultrasound energy density. The reason for the change of heavy metalic content in sludge in ultrasonic cell lysis process was discussed according to different physical and chemical characteristics of heavy metals in sludge. The result showed that under such condition, the content of heavy metals in sludge showed no sign of change, which was mainly related to the change of contents in SS and was effected by changes in the sludge floc size which may effect the re-absorption of heavy metals. Then the effect on sludge and outlet water treatment effeciency by inert inorganics contents in sludge under sludge reduction process was also studied by method that adding inert inorganics to active sludge and applying ultrasonic lysis - cryptic growth sludge reduction process. The increase of inert inorganics in active sludge had negative impact on sludge activity and treatment efficiency. This result proved ultrasonic lysis-cryptic growth activated sludge reduction technologies improved the activity of the sludge and the sludge was well-developed.Finally the effect on sludge and outlet water treatment effeciency by heavy metalic contents in sludge under sludge reduction process was also studied by method that adding heavy metals to active sludge and applying ultrasonic lysis- cryptic growth sludge reduction process. The heavy metals were adsorped and seditmented to sludge, causing the raise of heavy metalic contents in it. Although heavy metals inhibited microbial metabolism, however, the adaptability of activated sludge could offset the inhibitation causeof its complexity. The results indicated that on one hand, the increase of heavy metals in active sludge could not fully inhibite the metabolism of microbials; on the other hand, the ultrasonic lysis-cryptic growth sludge reduction technology show positive effect on sludge activity and the toxic impact resistance.
