In this paper, a UV-Curable powder unsaturated polyester resin was synthesized by selecting the component and controlling the ratio of the component. To modify the polyester, phase transferring method was used to introduce the acrylate C = C into the end of its molecule. Furthermore, some research was conducted on photosensitivity of unsaturated polyester, including examining the factors affecting photocuring processes such as the type of photoinitiator, use level of photoinitiator and cross-linking agent, etc. The FTIR spectrometry was used to trace the variation in double bond content during the photocuring process. The test results of impact strength, hardness, adhesive force of the cured layer showed this polyester had better properties.
