In 1997, Fujishima et al reported the photogeneration of a superhydrophihcity titaninum dioxide surface in Nature With this characteristic, the Ti02-coated glass has antifogging and self-cleaning effect, which are concerned by many Research Department and company The research of photogeneration of a superhydrophilicity Ti02 surface is a tendency.The M3~-doped Ti02 film deposited on glass substrates were prepared by Sol-Gel method The effect of the technical process parameters, such as different M3~ and amount, the addition of Si02 solution and PEG, heat treating temperature, thickness of membrane light source, and intensity of illumination on hydrophilicity of the membrane were studied by using SEM, AFM, XRD, XIPS and water-contact angle measurement.The result show that hydrophilicity of the films was determined by111the addiction of different M3~ and amount, the addition of Si02 solution and PEG, heat treating temperature, thickness of membrane light source, and intensity of illumination and so on The 1 5% M53~-doped Ti02-coated glass shows superhydrophilicity under sunlight illumination The photoinducded superhydrophihcity of Ti02 is both based on the photocatalytic decomposition of organic compounds adsorbed on the surface and on structural change on the surface To 1.5% M53~-doped Ti02-coated glass, sunlight illumination is enough for recovering and maintaining superhydrophihcity of the films.
