According to the last thirty years processing practice on panzhihua Ti-magnetite, combining with the state-of-the-arts in iron ore processing, focusing on the ore property Panzbihua deposit, this paper brings forward a systematic, comprehensive and thorough research on the ore magnetic property and develops a novel magnetic separator fitting with the ore抯 character which can improve the economic benefit. The research result shows that: (1)The magnetic hysteresis ioop for Panzhihua Ti-magnetite shapes typically a narrouw 搒? the average saturated magnetic intensity of the ore is higher than that drawn from the previous tests, indicating that is more easier to be magnetized with a stronger magnetic property; (2)The maximum relative magnetoconductivity of Panzhihua Ti-rnagnetite varies in a small range and is averagingly lower than that from the previous tests; (3)For the fractions of above +0.045mm, the ores maximum relative magnetoconductivity increases with the increased particle sizes, for the particle size of -0.045mm, the granularity is maximum and the relative magnetoconductivity becomes smaller abruptly;The maximum relative magnetoconductivity has a direct proportion with TFe content, and has no impact with Ti02 content (4) Ti-magnetite in Panzbihua mineral deposit has high remanent magnetism,there is a compact relationship between remanent magnetism and granularity, remanent magnetism increases as granularity becomes tiny; (5) Ti-magnetite in Panzbihua mineral deposit has strong coercive force,coercive force becomes stronger while granularity becomes tinier, ect (6)According to the physical analysis of magnetic 桰? separation process, begun with magnetic field strength distribution of magnetic sepwtor, magnetic flocculation of magnetic mineral particles optimization of botton tank construction; This pilot test results show that concentrate grade can be improved by 0.33%. The development of this new magnetic separator has proved promising. The magnetism research achievements provide strong theoretical basis for Panzhihua Ti magnetite production in how to improve metal recovery, quality of concentrate and to optimize the production technology parameters. The research goes deep into some envelopments which exist in the magnetic property research of Ti-magnetite for a long time, enrich Panzhihua Ti-magnetite magnetism research achievements, fills the vacancy of Ti magnetite magnetic property research, achieves outstanding accomplishment, and for first time applies achievements of Panzhihua Ti-magnetite magnetic property research in successful developing the new magnetic separator suited separating Panzhihua Ti-magnetite, whose inventor owns technology property rights, makes some breakthroughs both on theory and practice.
