Heterogeneous photocatalysis applied on environmental contaminants treatment was attracted widely notices for recent 20 years. But main research work has been put on photocatalytic degradation of trace organics in water over TiO2 catalyst and few of the investigation on industry wastewater. In our work, paper-making wastewater containing a large of colored organics was selected as the investigation object.Several TiO2-based materials were selected as photocatalysts. Effect of catalyst adsorption efficiency for colored organics in the wastewater on photocatalytic degradation efficiency of catalyst was studied. Main results as follow:1. The colored organics in the wastewater can be efficientlyadsorbed on TiO2 and y-A 1203 surface.2. The colored organics in the waste water can be degraded over TiO2 by photocatalysis.3. The photocatalytic degradation efficiency for colored organics over TiO2 was parallel with the adsorption efficiency .4. Over the titania-based binary metal oxide, the photocatalytic degradation efficiency for colored organics was parallel with the adsorption efficiency, and the adsorption efficiency was related to the composition of the binary metal oxide.
