The purpose of the present study was to prepare Magnetic Chitosan Microspheres that were used as a carrier to immobilize Horseradish Peroxidase(HRP). Firstly, the magnetic particles(Fe3O4 hydrate) were prepared by coprecipitation, then Magnetic Chitosan Microspheres were synthesized by reverse-phase suspension polymerization in the presence of magnetic particles. The carrieres and magnetic particles were characterized by TEM* SEM> IR, FM-2 Magnetic Balance and so on. Secondly, as a carrier, the immobilization of HRP on Magnetic Chitosan Microspheres was studied. In constrast to magnetic immobilized enzyme, the immobilization of HRP on Chitosan Microspheres was also studied. The results showed that Magnetic Chitosan Microspheres immobilizing HRP had the better physicochemical properties than native HRP and Chitosan Microspheres immobilizing HRP, and because of its magnetic responsibility, it was simple and convenient to retrieve magnetic HRP. At last, the catalytic oxidizing efficiency of Magnetic Chitosan Microspheres immobilizing HRP was studied. It was found that the reaction activity of Magnetic Chitosan Microspheres immobilizing HRP was superior to Chitosan Microspheres immobilizing HRP and native HRP. This experiment was a useful attemptment to deal with Phonelic Wastewater, and the new carry showed an important value in biochemical.
