2-alkylnaphthalene(2-AN) and 2,6-dialkylnaphthalene(2,6-DAN) are valuable chemicals. Because of its high causticity and serious pollution, catalysts like H2SO4, HsPO AlCla etc. used in traditional liquid-phase reactions are gradually replaced by zeolites which are of higher performance and more environmentally friendly. This study focuses on promoting activity and selectivity of naphthalene alkylation. We try to discover rules that how surface modifying affects naphthalene alkylation performance through studying on naphthalene alkylation performance in different conditions with modified zeolites as catalyst, at the same time, we give further explanations of modifying mechanism by means of characterizing surface acidity and crystal structures of modified zeolites.After this research work, we know that: HMCM-22 is a better catalyst of selecting naphthalene alkylation; Surface modification of zeolite Y is effective, but the effect of zeolite 3 is not evident and surface modification doesn't suits mordenite; Surface modification doesn't affect the frameworks and inner environments of zeolites, but only reduces diameter of orifice and overlays surface acidities; t-butanol is not suitable for alkylating agent of the reaction using modified zeolites as catalyst; Solvents with smaller molecular size are advantageous for naphthalene alkylation reaction using modified zeolites as catalyst, such as cyclohexane is better than decalin.Extra large surface area and shortened length of pores give zeolites more activities and less diffusing restricts. This study focuses on synthesizing nano-zeolites hi narrow distribution of pore diameters with high yield. We performed a groping synthesis of nano zeolite P , and try to find best conditions for synthesis, we also discussed the influence of experimental conditions to products by TEM, SAED and XRD.After this research work, we know that: if we want to obtain nano zeolites P in narrow distribution of pore diameters and with high crystallinity by the common hydrothermal method, wu should control strictly the experimental conditions, such as proportions of reactants, crystallizing temperature, crystallizing time and stirring etc; Increasing alkalinity can accelerate crystallizing; Higher temperature is advantageous for synthesis, but the temperature couldn't be too high; Using TEAOH as template is better than TMAOH, we can obtain zeolites with higher yield and crystallinity; Supercritical drying is a very good method to dry small-sized crystals of zeolite P; Calcination decreases the crystallinity of synthesized zeolite, but doesn't affect the size and the shape of crystals.
