In this thesis, atmospheric 862 concentration in shijiazhuang City has been calculated by using three dimension multi-box models. The model improves upon the conventional single box models through consideration of more details in spatial variations of source distributions and meteorological conditions, as well as their impacts on ambient environment. The model can reflect physical and chemical removal mechanisms wind-direction variations. Especially, data from shijiazhuang airport's meteorological station were collected and analyzed for estimating mixing heights of the study area. The concentrations of every box in four wind-direction groups and in sixteen wind-direction have been also calculated, and then average concentration in every box has been obtained by weighting method on wind direction frequencies. Comparing calculating values with monitoring concentrations on the ground and high altitude plane monitoring values by Environmental. Science Institute of Chiana.in January 1994, it was found that The method of predicting atmospheric environmental concentration in cities and economic development districts by the multi-box is one of the best methods.
