A series of novel polymers with conjugated structure have better properties in charge transportation such as polypyrrole(PPy), polyaniline(PAn) and so on. They could get good conductivity after proper doping. But the special chain structure leads to poor processibility, which limit their more widespread application. In this thesis, we paid attention to PPy and PAn, introduced layered silicate -Montmorillonite(MMT) into organic/inorganic system and prepared PPy(PAn)/MMT conducting composites by oxidative polymerization. In order to simplify the polymerization technics, increase the conductivity of composites and lower the comsumption, PPy/MMT composites were prepared in water and PAn/MMT composites were prepared in acidic medium. The component structure and properties of the hybrid were characterized by X-Ray diffraction FT-IR TGA and conductivity measurement. The preparation conditions of PPy(PAn)/MMT conducting composites were optimized. For PPy/MMT composites, the optimized conditions have reaction temperature, reaction time, the amount of MMT, the amount of oxidizer, the amount and kind of dopant and the molding pressure. For PAn/MMT composites, the optimized conditions have reaction time, the amount of oxidizer, concentration of HC1 and the amount of MMT. Besides, we elementally studied the composite mechanism of PPy/MMT composites and PAn/MMT composites.Furthermore the stability of electrical conductivity of composites were also studied. We found that not only the conductivity of composites have been increased but also the stability of electrical conductivity of nanocomposite has been improved. Finally, the application of polyaniline was studied . Polyaniline and it' s composites could be used as positive electrode active materials of polyaniline-Zn rechargeable battery, whose charge-discharge behaviors were studied.
