By adjusting the content of the spacing agent, the time and the temperature of heat, we have found the means to get the samples of good quality. The pore structure of them is basically controllable and the foams are uniformly distributed throughout. The dynamic compressive properties of the FA were tested using split Hopkison compressive bar.The modulus of elasticity and the yield strength of foam in quasi-static state increase as the relative density increases. The yield strength and the energy absorption have been founded to be both relative to density and strain rate dependent. They increase as the strain rate or the relative density increases. The strain rate has negligible effects on the energy absorption rate. The strain rate sensitivity increases with the increases of strain. The strain rate sensitivity is not the quality of the FA. The strain rate sensitivity, the yield strength and the compaction stress will be higher when the aperture is smaller. The aging treatment has negligible effects on the dynamic compressive properties of the FA. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Aluminum alloy foam, Dynamic compressive mechanics property, Split Hopkison compressive bar, Strain rate, Relative density, Aperture, Aging treatment, Plastic strength, Energy absorption, Energy absorption rate, Strain rate sensitivity | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
