The method of interfacial precipitation is used to acquire ultrafine copperoxide powder according to Interfacial Dispersed Zones (IDZ). By the method of stripping, the extraction complex of Cu( II) and HDEHP forms microheterogeneity zones at the liquid-liquid interfacial dispersed layer, which is contributed to the limitation of the growth and development of CuC2O4 crystalloid in the complex; besides, HDEHP's wrapping effect on CuC^C^ avoids the aggregation of particles during the process of precipitation, lavation, desiccation , calcine and etc. And ultrafine copperoxide powder is finally gained. During the experiment process, HDEHP is used as extracting agent and CCU is used as organic solvent to extract Cu2+ from CuSC>4 solution. The balance of extraction is reached by full oscillation. Then, in the modified Lewis cell, Cu2"1" are stripped by ^0264 solution. And the deposition of CuC7O4 is gained at the interface of oil-water. After the process of centrifugal separation, lavation by deionized and 100% ethanol, desiccation at 80℃ and thermodecomposition in muffle, CuC2C>4 precipitation can turn into copperoxide particles. Ultrafine CuO particle's surface structure and size can be detected by SEM and XRD. And its purity is examed by chemical analysis.During preparation of copperoxid particles, the concentration of HDEHP below required level caused CuO particles to grow dramatically. Once the concentration of HDEHP is increased, particles' size sharply reduces to about lOOnm. Increasing the concentration of Cu2+, the copperoxide particles' size reduced first and then increased a little. But the decentralization of the particle is good, and their distributing scope is small. During the stripping process, stripping time and the concentration of HC2O4 have little influence on the particles' size. But low stripping temperature is propitious to form the ultrafine copperoxide particles. In the process of thermodecomposition, the caline temperature must be controlled strictly, decomposition can not complete if the temperature is too low. While the size of the particles increase, even cause lumps if the tmperature is too high. The finally acquired particles are black-brow, shuttle-shaped, nonlumping, well-fiuiding. The average particle size is blow lOOnm and it has monoclinic structure.Solvent extraction is a new method to acquire ultrafine powder by causeing unreversible deposition at the interface. This method has many characteristics such as simple manipulation, easy-controlled reaction condition, precisely controlled chemical compositions, high purity, small size and uniformity well decentralization of particles.
