The greatest disaster in coal mine is gas disaster, and main performance of the disaster is gas explosion. The prevention measurements on gas disaster are preventing from gas accumulation and ignition, enhancing ventilation, and extracting gas. All these measurements can minimize the hazard of gas explosion, but they do not fundamentally solve the problem of gas explosion .The paper is to deal with this problem in a new way. An idea of gas pyrogenation purification and porous ceramic causing heat by electricity adsorption purification is put forward. Gas pyrogenation purification is mainly studied on system equipment of gas pyrogenation purification, which is composed of gas warm-up system, gas oxidation system by heating, gas cooling system and gas absorption system after pyrogenation . The gas oxidation pyrogenation t system equipment is the most important. Seven different oxidation pyrogenation equipments are designed to comparison research on effect of gas pyrogenation, and more optimum oxidation equipment is determined. Experiment results show that main process parameters in gas oxidation and pyrogenation equipments are temperature, gas flux, gas concentration, and catalyst. The factors influencing on gas pyrogenation and purification are structure of pyrogenation case, heat transfer and mass transfer , and time of gas circulation. The thought of porous ceramic producing heat by electricity to adsorb and purify gas can be succeeded by using porous SiC honeycombed ceramic producing heat by electricity and porous SiC foam ceramic used to purify gas. Porous SiC ceramic that is used in gas adsorption and pyrogenation is studied. The equipment of porous SiC ceramic gas pyrogenation is designed.
