Compared with sintered magnets, bonded magnets have excellent attribute for processing and machining, so they have attracted wide attention in recent years. At present, not only raw material but also manufacturing facilities of bonded magnets of China depend on importation to a great extent. In this paper, rubber magnets were made of domestic materials and equipments. Magnetic powder and fracture face of bonded magnet were observed. The mechanical and magnetic properties of bonded magnet were tested. The result sftowed:1. The particle shape (D/H ratio) and the distribution of magnetic powder influence the orientation of magnetic powder in bonded magnet, then influence the performance of bonded magnet. The suitable D/H ratio can make the particles get the biggest and effective orienting torque, so the high performance magnets can be obtained.2. The additional agents have the very big influence to the process and performance of bonded magnet. The additional agents which are selected in this subject reasonably can increase magnetic powder adding capacity, improve the process of bonded magnet and ensure the mechanical property of bonded magnet, so that magnetic powder content of bonded magnet reach 90wt%, that hardness is between 80-90 ShA, and that tensile strength is between 10-15MPa.IIABSTRACT3. The method of controlling power based on the rheologic theory on maternal mixer is effective to the quality control of mix of bonded magnet.
