Substituted thioureas have extensive biological activities and they have been used as insecticide, herbicide, fugicide, plant growth regulator and so on. In order to search for new species with good herbicidal activities, Dialkyl phosphoryl or 1,3,2-dioxaphosphorinane or nitrogen mustard phosphorous acid were introduced into the structure of thiourea respectively through the Addition Nucleophilic reaction of phosphorylisothiocyanide and substituted arylamide, and were synthesized 28 phosphorylthiourea compounds. They were included in three types: I. 1,3,2-dioxaphosphorinane phosphorylthiourea derivativesThe structures of these compounds have been confirmed by IR, 1HNMR, MS and elementary analysis, and the results indicated that the synthesized substances are the target compounds. Their spectrum characters and their particular splitting mode in mass spectroscopy have been considered. Moreover, the physical andchemical properties of the compounds, their synthesis reaction and suitable condition have been discussed. The preliminary herbicidal activities of these compounds have been tested. It is found that some compounds, such as Ii, IId,IIIf have good inhibitory activities against root growth of both monocotyledon and dicotyledon plant.
