In recent years, iron &steel corporations in china carried out a serial technique revamping and reforming, technology and equipment of steel making are made a successive progress. However, the products with high supplementary value products such as stainless steel and Si-steel cannot reach the requirement of the domestic market yet. So that the Jiuquan Iron& Steel (Group) Corporation (JISCO) will list stainless steel and Si-steel production as the aim of development in the coming technique revamping project.This article is, according to document summarization, based on extensive study of both internal and external technology and manufacturing, focus on the circumstance and the aim of development of JISCO, to make a comprehensive research and engineering on product structure, technological process solusion and equipment selection.According to the developing trend of internal and external steel-making technology and the direction of iron &steel product, the decided technological progress for the multifunctional steel-making plant with a annual capacity of 1,610,000 tons'qualified slab is as following two ways: l.HM pretreatment-EAF-AOD-VOD-slab continuous cast machine-for stainless steel production. 2.HM pretreatment-LD-(RH)-slab continuous cast machine-for silicon steel and other steel production .Also the second line can be used to produce Si-steel and high level C-steel to meet market requirement.This solution is with precondition of the developing aim and actual raw materials of JISCO, with characteristics of new technology and high profit, with principle of advanced, variety and multifuction, is a continuable developing project.
