Small hole's machining is always regarded as one of the most difficult processing .People has paid more time and large funds to solves this problem in our country and overseas. With the development of the technology, higher request was brought up in the small hole's machining. All kinds of non-traditional machining was applicated to satisfy industry's needs. Both of the small hole's Electrical discharge machining and ultrasonic machining are valid methods. This paper pays more attention to the mechanism and process of small hole's Electrical discharge machining and ultrasonic machining. Finished the experimental research of the small hole's electrical discharge machining and analyzed the influence factor in the small hole's EDM. Based on all these done, author brings up some viewpoint for the next research. At the same time, author done some work on the ultrasonic machining equipment. Based on the 800W power CCH-3840F-20Z transducer , author redesigned the ultrasonic stair amplitude transformer and tools, brought up the reform project of the CMC-1001 ultrasonic small hole machine.
